Searching for Nqilxʷcən/Our Indigenous language

The nqilxʷcən/nsyilxcən language is the original language for the Indigenous peoples of this territory and what connects the people within the Nation whose lands spans over 69 000 square kilometres. The Searching for Nqilxʷcən activity will work as a language scavenger hunt to engage the participants with the language and the Sncəwips Heritage Museum space to exemplify the specific characteristics within each word in a way that interacts with the exhibition and collections. This will be a fun, informal activity to simply create awareness and appreciation for the language and all the knowledge that is possessed within it.
